Council Members
The Cambridge City Council is composed of one (1) Mayor and four (4) City Council members who are elected at large to four-year (4-year) terms. Their terms of office are staggered so there are elections every two years in even years. Municipal elections are non-partisan and names are placed on the ballot without party designation.

Mayor Jim Godfrey and his wife Trina chose Cambridge as their new home in 1992. They intended to "stay for a couple years," but fell in love with the community and made it their forever home. They raised 2 children and instilled in them an appreciation for the Cambridge small town feel and a desire to serve the community. Jim and Trina are teachers at Cambridge-Isanti High School.
Jim is active in many civic, professional and church activities, including the Planning Commission, Snowflake Parade, District Instructional Leadership Team and several others. He is honored to serve the residents of Cambridge as the Mayor and will continue growing the community while safeguarding the authentic Minnesota feel.
