There Is Something for Everyone Within Our City Parks

Adult and child bikingWhether you're a bird enthusiast or avid hiker, a mountain biker or canoeist, a snowmobiler or skater, mother bringing her children out for the afternoon or a child looking for places to play, you'll find the space you need to pursue what you love within Cambridge's park system. The city's parks not only give people a place to connect with one another, but also to nature. Those looking for solace find it walking along the scenic Rum River. They may surprise a deer or muskrat, and, if they have the time, will observe a variety of plant and animal species.

Mission

The mission of Cambridge Parks is to promote environmental stewardship through recreation and education in a natural resources-based park system.

About Cambridge Parks

Just as the size of Cambridge's parks range greatly, so do the offered at each. Expect to find paved trails, picnic tables, benches and playground equipment in most. Others have a tighter focus, facilitating specific activities such as basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis and skating. The city's extensive trail system connects Cambridge's many parks, offering residents the opportunity to get around via bicycle, inline skate, snowshoe, cross-country skis, snowmobile or their own two feet.
