The Cambridge City Council is seeking three (3) individuals to serve on the Parks, Trails and Recreation Commission. Two (2) of these positions are for regular three (3) year terms and one (1) of the positions is for a Youth Representative, which is a one (1) year term.
Residency within city limits is required. City Council may consider application in the Urban Service Area if there is a lack of applications within Municipal Boundary. A Youth Representative shall be in grades 9 through 12. Incumbent Commissioners may also apply for reappointment as long as they do not exceed the term limit requirement.
The Parks, Trails and Recreation Commission is an advisory board that reviews and makes recommendations to the Cambridge City Council on the development and organization of city parks, trails, and recreational programs. The Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission typically holds one (1) regular meeting quarterly in the months of January, April, July, and October and additional meetings as needed.

The application deadline is 4:30 pm, Friday, January 10th, 2025. Potential applicants will be interviewed for appointment at the regular City Council meeting on Monday, January 20th, 2025 at approximately 6pm.
The city will use the list of interested applicants to fill any unexpected commission vacancies that may arise during 2025.
